COVID jab allergy update

Posted by Tui Esser on

You will have read in the papers how when the Pfizer jab was launched last month, two healthcare workers had an allergic reaction after being vaccinated. Happily, they both recovered, but anyone with a history of serious allergies to food or medicines was advised against having the jab.

Now, health officials say that both the Pfizer and the Oxford vaccines are safe for most people with allergies. Only those who are known to be allergic to any of the ingredients in the vaccines should avoid the jab.

See our earlier post on vaccine ingredients here.
