How do they work?

DermaSilk Therapeutic Pyjamas are made of a special, knitted medical grade silk, has bonded with Microbe Shield technology. It is superior to cotton because it retains up to 30 % of its own weight in moisture without feeling damp or causing irritation to the skin.

The patented antimicrobial shield, called AEM 5772/5, inhibits the development of bacteria such as Staph Aureus and has been used for infection control in hospitals for over 30 years such as operating theatre gowns.

There is no chemical released from the silk and no chemicals or nano-particles are released onto the skin. The effectiveness of the Microbe Shield remains even after frequent washes.

Used as part of the normal treatment programme, DermaSilk helps reduce the terrible 'itch-scratch cycle' and controlling flare-ups. Its special knitted construction means there's free movement of air through the fabric allowing the skin to breathe more easily and promoting faster healing.

Hand wash, dry flat.
