HEPA/carbon filter, Dust collection grid, TiO2 filter & UV lamp
The 'Smart Sensors' of the HF 380 and HF 380A take the guesswork out of deciding when to replace the combined HEPA/activated carbon filter and when to wipe the metal dust collector plates clean.
Depending on how much use you make of the HF380 and how polluted the indoor air is you should expect the HEPA /activated carbon filter to last between 18months -2 years. The Smart Sensor lights up to let you know when to replace this filter so you don't do it too soon (saving you money) or too late, when it could become saturated and release captured contaminants back into the air.
When the Dust Collection Grid sensor lights up, wash the collection plates in clean in warm soapy water and take the opportunity to wipe the whole unit to keep it efficient. You shouldn't need to replace the Dust Collection Grid unless it is damaged.
The dust collection Smart Sensor itself is housed behind the cover in a silver-coloured clipped rectangular compartment at the top left hand side of your HF380. Clean it with a cotton bud.
The Ti02 filter should not need to be replaced unless it becomes damaged.
The Replacement UV Lamp for the HF 380 or HF 380A is rated for 10,000 hours. (approx 1 yr) and most people find it convenient to replace the UV Lamp when they renew the HEPA/carbon filter.
