Sea-Med™ Natural Seaweed Treatment for Eczema

Instructions for use

Eczema Treatment - adults

IMPORTANT: Do not shower during the treatment phase or follow your shower with a Sea-Med™ Natural Seaweed Therapy bath.

Soak in a Sea- Med™ bath, ideally before bed, every day.

Shake 2 heaped tablespoonfuls of Sea-Med™ Natural Seaweed through a sieve into a bathtub of lukewarm water. It will totally dissolve. Lie back and have a long relaxing soak with your neck muscles in the water. Afterwards gently pat yourself almost dry, allowing a residue to remain on the skin. This way the Sea-Med™ Natural Seaweed treatment will rehydrate your skin overnight. Soak in a Sea-Med™ bath every day until skin is totally clear.

Ongoing Maintenance - adults

Once the skin is clear, soak in a Sea-Med™ bath every alternate day for one week and once a week thereafter.
Always use lukewarm water. If you feel the slightest sensation of dry skin, have a Sea-Med™ soak that night. If you are under severe stress bathe 5/6 days in a row. Always have a Sea-Med™ Natural Seaweed Treatment bath after swimming in chlorinated pools.

Treatment for Hands

Sieve one heaped tablespoon of Sea-Med™ Natural Seaweed Treatment in a basin of tepid water. Sit with your hands in the basin for half an hour before bed. Remove hands from basin. DO NOT RINSE. Pat hands lightly dry and go to bed, leaving an invisible invisible residue of Sea-Med to rehydrate your skin overnight. Repeat daily until hands are clear. Maintain clear soft hands by repeating this treatment any time you feel the slightest sensation of dry skin on your hands.

Treatment for Feet

• As a foot spa: For eczema, hard or dry skin, athlete’s foot.

Sieve one heaped tablespoon of Sea-Med™ Natural Seaweed Treatment in a basin or bucket of lukewarm water. Even more effective if used in an electric foot spa. Soak feet or feet and lower legs (for varicose eczema) for a minimum of twenty minutes daily until the problem is solved. Continue once weekly.

• As a paste: For severe cases.

Mix Sea-Med™ Natural Seaweed Treatment into a paste with lukewarm water and apply to the feet and heels. Cover with clingfilm and replace socks. Leave for several hours or overnight. Rub off by hand in a basin of warm water. Pat dry. If done overnight the problem should be gone in 3-4 nights. Maintain soft moisturised feet with a Sea-Med™ Natural Seaweed Treatment foot spa twice a week.

Eczema Treatment – children

For babies and toddlers 4 weeks – 3yrs

• At bedtime sieve1 heaped teaspoonful Sea-Med™ Natural Seaweed into a small baby bath or 1 heaped tablespoonful into a shallow adult bath. Make sure the water is only lukewarm. Allow the child to play and relax in the water for as long as possible. Gently pat almost dry so that an invisible residue of Sea-Med will remain to rehydrate the skin overnight.

For children over 3years

• At bedtime sieve 2 heaped tablespoons of Sea-Med ™ Natural Seaweed into a lukewarm bath. Let the child play and relax in the water for at least twenty minutes. Pat almost dry so that an invisible residue of Sea- Med will remain to rehydrate the skin overnight.

Ongoing Maintenance – children

• After the treatment phase it is recommended to give the child a soak in a bath with Sea-Med ™ Natural Seaweed Treatment in lukewarm water once or twice a week to keep the skin moisturised. Always give a Sea-Med bath after swimming in chlorinated pools.

If your child is stressed or upset, give a Sea-Med™ Natural Seaweed Treatment bath that night. Eczema is often stress related and a soak in Sea-Med is recommended in the following circumstances:

Moving house: Give a Sea-Med Treatment bath every day coming up to, during, and after the move for at least a week until everything settles down then stay on 2 baths a week for a month or two.

Starting playschool / new school term: Soak every night for a few nights before and for the first 2 weeks at least.

Exam time: Run a lukewarm Sea-Med™ Natural Seaweed Treatment bath every night in the week running up to exams.

Sea-Med™ Natural Seaweed Treatment for Psoriasis

Psoriasis treatment – trunk, arms & legs

IMPORTANT: Do not shower during the treatment phase or follow your shower with a Sea-Med™ Natural Seaweed Therapy bath.

Mix Sea-Med™ Natural Seaweed to a paste with hot water and allow to cool to blood temperature. Cover white, dry, scaling areas with the paste and wrap in clingfilm. Leave for 45-55 minutes.
Run a lukewarm bath and sieve in 2 tablespoons of Sea-Med™ Natural Seaweed Treatment. Remove clingfilm, get into the bath and gently sponge away the paste. This will remove all the dead, dry skin leaving bright red or purple blotches but no itch.
Lie back in the bath with the muscles in the back of the neck in the water so you are fully relaxed. Pat yourself dry to leave a healing residue of Sea-Med on the skin.

Repeat daily until totally clear. The blotches will gradually decrease in size and finally disappear. The length of time this takes varies from person to person. Reduce the bath soaks to one every other day for a week, then twice a week for 2 weeks.

Ongoing maintenance

Once the skin is clear you can keep the visible signs of psoriasis at bay by following the maintenance programme.

• Soak in a lukewarm Sea-Med bath every 5th day.
• Always soak in an Sea-Med bath after a stressful day.
• If your skin feels at all dry soak in a Sea-Med bath that night – don’t wait until tomorrow.
• Always take a Sea-Med™ Natural Seaweed Treatment bath after swimming in chlorinated pools.

Psoriasis treatment – scalp

IMPORTANT: Always do a patch test behind the ear if you have tinted hair.

Mix Sea-Med ™ Natural Seaweed Treatment to a cream with hot water and add one-third natural yoghurt. Mix thoroughly and allow to cool. Cover the hair and scalp with the mixture and cover with Clingfilm, leaving the ears and forehead exposed. Leave on for one hour then wash out.

Repeat after 3 days, leaving on for only 30 minutes.
Repeat after a further 3 days as before.

Sea-Med™ Natural Seaweed Treatment for Acne

Acne Treatment – face

Sea-Med™ Natural Seaweed Treatment makes an effective mask for the treatment of facial acne. It draws out all the impurities from the skin. It does not hide or suppress the spots.

The treatment will take about 3 weeks or 9 -11 applications. The important thing is to keep on using it – don’t give up when you see more spots appearing. Beneath each spot lie a lot more just waiting to come to the surface, which means your skin is clearing.

• Mix 2 teaspoons of Sea-Med™ Natural Seaweed Treatment to a cream with hot water and allow to cool to blood temperature.
• Apply with a wooden spatula or the back of a wooden spoon.
• Leave on for 4 minutes.
• Sponge off with warm water.
• Splash your ace with cold water to close the pores
• Apply moisturiser

Use a Sea-Med™ Natural Seaweed Treatment mask on alternate days for 3 to 4 weeks. When you mask on Monday your skin will be much worse on Tuesday. By Wednesday those spots will be starting to die but some more will start to appear. On Thursday, because of Wednesday’s mask, your skin will be much worse. By Friday those spots will start to die but again some more will start to appear.
The good news is that after the first week some people are totally clear. Others may have to keep going for up to 4 weeks.

Ongoing maintenance - face

Week 1: Use a Sea-Med™ mask on alternate days. Have 3 mask-free days.
Week 2: Use a Sea-Med™ mask on alternate days. Have 3 mask-free days.
Week 3: Use a Sea-Med™ mask on alternate days.
After this use once every 6-10 days to keep the skin clear.

Scarring

If you have acne scarring on the face use a Sea-Med™ Natural Seaweed Therapy mask daily for 2 minutes.
Scarring will clear in 6 – 8 weeks.

Acne Rosacea

Use a Sea-Med ™ Natural Seaweed Therapy mask every day for about 2 minutes.

Acne treatment – back

• Mix 2 teaspoons of Sea-Med™ Natural Seaweed to a cream with hot water and allow to cool to blood temperature.
• Apply over area and cover with clingfilm. You may need someone to help you do this.
• Leave on for 20 minutes.
• Shower off with warm water.
• Quick cold shower to close the pores.

Week 1: Follow this treatment on alternate days for a week. Have 3 treatment-free days.
Week 2: Repeat treatment on alternate days.

Ongoing maintenance – back

To keep the back clear, have a Sea-Med™ Natural Seaweed Treatment bath from time to time.
Simply shake 2 heaped tablespoonfuls of Sea-Med™ Natural Seaweed through a sieve into a bathtub of lukewarm water. It will totally dissolve. Then just lie back and have a long relaxing soak with your neck muscles in the water. Afterwards gently pat yourself almaost dry. This way a residue will remain, allowing Sea-Med™ Natural Seaweed Treatment to rehydrate your skin overnight.

Scarring

If you have acne scarring on the back use the Sea-Med ™ Natural Seaweed Therapy paste treatment every day for 4 minutes before showering.
Scarring will clear in 8 –10 weeks.
