"I read and read the product info before I bought and was somewhat dubious. I thought a lot of money - no return = risky. I took the plunge. I now have 2 of these-they are just great.I know they are a lot of dosh but in my experience all other ionisers I have bought give up the ghost. These will cover a huge area and unlike other units use a huge area for the ions to be pumped into your room. I bought my second to just try in my office, (this is in the countryside away from roads). After a couple of weeks the huge metal collector was filthy, all this I would have breathed in! When you wash the collectors its like washing your hands from being in the garden.They really do work and I imagine for hayfever and asthma they would be very good in the house. Go for it. You are lucky as I had no review when I got mine."

I habitually wake up with a congested nose. When we were by the sea in Croatia for a week it was much better and my wife said I snored less too. So I did a lot of research on air purifiers of various sorts. This one is expensive but is rated for very large rooms, draws under 10W and has no other running costs. By contrast the filter types need far more power (to force air through the filter) and many require you to buy expensive filters every few months. Another I came across passed air through a tiny furnace - apart from high power requirements its instructions suggested it works very slowly and hardly at all when you open the window. So I went with the IonFlow Surface. It was easy to assemble and I didn't bother with the plastic guard which stops you getting a little static shock if you touch the collector cylinder. It's pretty much silent in operation (just slight popping noises from the collector) and my nose does seem clearer. We've got it on a table in a far corner of a large bedroom and it hasn't dirtied nearby walls at all after several months and I only have to wash the collector occasionally. But I can definitely tell when it's on (that seaside bite to the air) so I'm a fan.
