Hayfever? Desensitise before the season begins with this totally natural remedy and make the miseries of hayfever a thing of the past.

Oral grass pollen immunotherapy has recently been given the 'green light' by the Committee on the Safety of Medicines. The treatment, known as sub-lingual immunotherapy (SLIT),  is available by referral on the NHS and in some allergy clinics. It involves diluting a standard extract of grass pollen and placing a drop under the tongue starting several weeks before the hayfever season begins and continuing on a regular basis during it. It helps the majority of patients with minimal side effects and no dangerous reactions. The down-side is that the treatment is very expensive.
