Allergy-Free Simnel Cake Recipe

allergy-free-simnel-cake Simnel Cake, traditionally eaten at Easter has a layer of marzipan in the middle and a further layer on top with eleven marzipan balls representing the Apostles (no Judas) placed round the edge.

Our Allergy-free version is wheat-free, dairy free, nut-free and egg-free but as the consistency of the mixture doesn´t allow for a layer of marzipan in the middle, we've put an extra thick layer on top!

You can add a yellow or green ribbon and ice the top if you like. Decorate with edible Spring flowers or one of those fluffy little chickens you can buy in card shops.
